How the district fits together
The Walnut Creek School District serves transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. Five neighborhood elementary schools — Buena Vista, Indian Valley, Murwood, Parkmead, and Walnut Heights — feed into Walnut Creek Intermediate, the district's middle school. After eighth grade, students move to the separately governed Acalanes Union High School District, which is why two different school funding measures appear on Walnut Creek ballots. Combined enrollment across all six schools is 3146 students.
