Every student in Walnut Creek deserves a strong education, no matter which school they attend or what they arrive with. That starts with looking honestly at where outcomes differ and saying so out loud.

Why I started looking
Talking with families across different schools in the same district, I kept hearing noticeably different descriptions of the same school system. That gap between experiences deserves a closer look at the outcomes behind them.
Why it matters
A district is only as strong as what it provides to every student it serves. Honest, disaggregated data on how students are doing — by school, by student group, over time — is the starting point for any real improvement effort.
